Government Issue

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, is trying to stop immigration in the US and Mexican border by building a massive wall diving the two. Trying to build this wall would be too expensive, and that would mean that taxes would increase for everyone. The United States already has a large debt, and building the wall would only add billions of dollars more. Also I think that America is constantly growing, and it needs more workers to do minimum wage jobs. Americans don't like working for the minimum wage, but immigrants come to the US to try to achieve the American dream and that is by working. Though it might not be the correct approach big business like the idea of having minimum wage workers. Another reason why building the wall is unnecessary is because many immigrants already come illegally to the United States. The wall would just be a waste of money as they will find other methods to access the country. People will not stop trying to achieve the American Dream because of the push factors in their home country, or by the pull factors America has to offer. The reason for the wall is to prevent criminals from entering the country, but the reality is that most of the immigrants that come to the United States come to work rather than commit crime acts. Having more employment helps the country's economy, and it helps it grow. Not building the wall doesn't mean to automatically let all immigrants in. I think immigration should be regulated as it is being done right now. The wall is unnecessary.

More than 10,000 immigrants from Central America attempted to cross the Mexican border wall into the United States with aggression, recklessness, and agitation( Partlow and Kinosian, “At the U.S. border, migthe rant caravan will slow to a crawl”). Moreover, no one can be sure that some terrorists are extremely dangerous to America infiltrating the immigrant group. This is the most powerful example to prove that the Mexican border wall can make the “increasing on taxes” to be acceptable.
The aggressive aggression of the immigrant shows that it is an extremely serious matter. In this case, the border wall is the house’s door, and strangers try to intrude the door without any permissions. Some of them are very aggressive to induce you feeding them by your money. Will you keep silent and ignore it, or pay any prices to push them out of the house? Obviously, “the reason for the wall is to prevent criminals from entering the country” (Cardenas, “Government Issue”), so it is reasonable to intrude over 10,000 immigrants who are considering as the illegal territories.
As Cardenas said, “the wall could be a waste of money”, when “they will find another method to get access to the country”. However, at least, it is legal. They must comply with America’s laws, they must reach the requirements, and they must get under government’s control. It is totally different to compare those cases with those immigrants who are illegal to intrude the territory.
The author are totally right when saying: “America is constantly growing, and it needs more workers to do minimum wage jobs”; and “having more employment helps the country’s economy”( Cardenas). However, there are many types of the legal immigrants: who have well educated, who own the businesses, and who do the job with the lowest wage. Donald Trump does not say “no” to immigrants, he just prevents and reduces illegal immigrants. Therefore, the wall is the method to solve the problem.

Carol's Blog (blog 6)

In her blog post , Carol, talked about how unevenly money is distributed. She explains how the top one percent of the richest people have more money than the lower 90 percent of the people combined. The fact that the few have more than the rest, is mind boggling. The gap between the social classes should not be this open. Carol is correct, most of the rich people have money because their parents were rich and the money just keeps on being passed on from generation to generation leaving behind no opportunity for the average person. Since the distribution of money is so far apart, the poor are left behind. In oder for the poor to study or succeed they need money but how can they earn enough money if the minimum wage is so low.
